Symposium venue
Delft is a Dutch university city with a bit over 100.000 inhabitants. It is located between the larger cities of The Hague and Rotterdam, but is also just an hour away from Amsterdam. In 1400, Delft was the second-largest city of Holland and still has a beautiful historical city centre. It is famous for the Dutch painter Johannes Vermeer, who lived and worked in Delft in the 17-th century, and for Delft Blue ceramics. The Delft Old Church from 1246 has its own leaning tower, while the so- called New Church from 1381 has the second-highest church tower of The Netherlands with a beautiful view over the old city centre. Delft is well connected by trains and highways, and can be reached by direct train from Amsterdam Schiphol airport in just 35 minutes. Being an internationally oriented city, Delft has a good number of hotels itself, while further accomodation can be found in the direct vicinity in for example The Hague. The historical city center with nice pubs and restaurants, together with its excellent infrastructure makes Delft a perfect locaton for an international symposium.
The JISDM 2027 workshop is organized by Delft University of Technology and will take place in the Aula building of the university, in the centre of the university campus
